Main Story Script
An Ass was being driven along a steep mountain road. Suddenly, he thought he knew a better path. He saw his stall far below, and to him, the quickest way down seemed to be straight over the edge of the cliff!
Just as he was about to leap, his master grabbed him by the tail, pulling him back with all his strength. But the stubborn Ass refused to listen. He pulled harder, fighting against his master.
Finally, the driver said, Very well, go your way, you willful beast, and see where it leads you.
The moment he let go, the foolish Ass tumbled head over heels down the mountainside.
Moral of the Story
They who will not listen to reason but stubbornly go their own way, against the friendly advice of those wiser than they, are on the road to misfortune.
